From there, it’s an easy walk into the city’s main shopping streets, and on a fine day you can take your time, stopping for coffee or pastries along the way.
I’ve never needed five-star everything. What matters to me is comfort, a great location, and good value. That’s the affordable luxury you’ll find through out my blog. I prefer places that feel welcoming and well run, with staff who genuinely care and remember you year after year. Zurich isn’t a cheap city, so I’d rather save a little on the hotel and put more towards the experiences that truly count; wandering the Zurich Christmas markets, enjoying dinner in a cosy Swiss restaurant, or exploring the city’s cultural gems.
